Voodoo Highway is the second album of the band Badlands. After the first Badlands album, drummer Eric Singer left the band to join KISS, and was replaced by drummer Jeff Martin, who had previously sung lead vocals in the bands Surgical Steel and Racer X. Trivia
- Voodoo Highway includes a cover version of James Taylor's "Fire and Rain". Badlands would often perform soundchecks before a show using the song "Fire and Water," by Paul Rodgers' old band, Free. Once, Gillen misspoke during the soundcheck and asked for "Fire and Rain" instead. The band played Taylor's composition anyway, and Gillen sounded so good that they decided to record it.
- American Idol finalist Bo Bice sang "In a Dream" during competition in the 2005 season.
- Voodoo Highway introduced the "Size 12 Boot" as one of Drummer Jeff Martin's "Instruments" during the title track.
- Voodoo Highway sings the theme song to the Total Drama series.
